Introduction

I got my love for sewing from my mother. She used to make a lot of our clothes when we were little. I used to love helping her thread the sewing machine needle. I think my very first major sewing project was a denim jumper that I made in junior high.

Later on, after I was married, I bought my first machine, and still use it to this day. I used it to make Halloween costumes, pillows, chair cushions, curtains, Christmas ornaments, and a variety of crafts. I made soft clowns, stuffed animals, and ornaments, and sold them at craft fairs.

One time, my mother and I attempted to make stuffed baby dolls. I stuffed the head so much it was way out of proportion. We laughed ’til we cried. It is one of many fun memories I have of my mother.

That is where I got my love for sewing. I hope you get to share some fond memories like these, too.
