Bob’s Chili
December 31st, 2009 · No Comments · Recipes
I don’t know what it is about chili, but mine never comes out that great. My husband decided to give it a try, and it’s absolutely delicious. He still thinks there’s something missing, but I can’t think of what it would be. I love it just the way it is.
1 lb lean ground beef
1 15-oz can light-red kidney beans
1 lg can crushed tomatoes
1 15-oz can stewed tomatoes
1 lg chopped yellow onion
12-16 oz bottle of Hunt’s catsup
1 tsp allspice
1 tbsp chili powder (add more to taste)
3 bay leaves
salt & pepper to taste
2 cups water
Brown ground beef in frying pan, drain. Add all ingredients to a large pot, bring to boil and then simmer for 3-4 hours.

Not Another Meat Loaf Recipe!

For the past year or so, every month I’ve been cooking Stoeffer’s frozen meatloaf in gravy entree for our family of four. It was always just enough, with no leftovers. It’s so easy to make, with no preservatives, gravy included, and quite tasty. I served it with mashed potatoes and vegetable, rolls and butter. The only bad thing was I never had any leftovers. I love leftover meat loaf sandwiches.

Using a Sewing Machine
April 22nd, 2009 · No Comments · Sewing Essentials
A sewing machine is a precision instrument and requires a lot of care. The instruction manual shows you how to maintain it and keep it in working order, and how to make simple adjustments, and how to operate it. If you do not have a manual, you can order one through the manufacturer. The manual helps to identify certain parts mentioned from time to time in sewing directions, such as the threader, cutter, tension, and various feet that can be used.
